Her practice also includes counseling businesses on compliance and training for data privacy, cybersecurity, ethics, anti-bribery, and governance best practices. She regularly guides clients through data breach and incident response situations and related regulatory investigations. Fran is an accomplished appellate lawyer, and has successfully argued several groundbreaking issues. She also serves as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association Commercial and Consumer Panels and has represented numerous clients in arbitration proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fran was tapped by the Department of Homeland Security to speak on \u201cCybersecurity in the C-Suite and Boardroom\u201d in its C-Cubed webinar series. She has lectured widely and authored numerous articles on cybersecurity and data privacy, including the Ohio chapter of Bloomberg Law\u2019s \u201cPrivacy &amp; Data Security Update\u201d and \u201cCybersecurity 101 for Manufacturers: Why Should You Care?\u201d published in Manufacturing Business Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In independent surveys of in-house counsel and peer attorneys, Fran is ranked as one of Chambers USA\u2019s \u201cLeaders in Their Field\u201d in Ohio for General Commercial Litigation, and a \u201cState Litigation Star\u201d in Ohio by Benchmark Litigation. She has appeared in Benchmark\u2019s \u201cTop 250 Women in Litigation\u201d in the U.S. since 2014. Fran is nationally recognized by The Best Lawyers in America\u00ae in Corporate Compliance Law, Corporate Governance Law, Securities Litigation, and Banking &amp; Finance Litigation, and has been named Best Lawyers \u201cLawyer of the Year\u201d for Corporate Compliance Law, Banking and Finance Law, and Securities Litigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fran graduated Order of the Coif from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, and she received undergraduate and graduate degrees in vocal performance from the Cleveland Institute of
