He focuses his practice on incident response, helping clients navigate data privacy<br>and cybersecurity emergencies and advising them on notice obligations and best practices, while coordinating with<br>other vendors and resources to make sure they recover expediently. Zachary approaches his practice with careful<br>consideration of the unique client at hand, assessing their immediate needs while also identifying potential issues,<br>down the line, and crafting thoughtful and practical solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to starting his legal career at McDonald Hopkins, Zachary made great strides in his work for Cleveland State<br>University of Law\u2019s Data Privacy Clinic. The clinic partnered with Oakland, California\u2019s Department of Transportation,<br>which was proposing a multi-provider parking payment system within the city. Zachary and his colleagues<br>collaborated with the city to identify privacy and equity related issues and found creative ways to mitigate those<br>issues, developing a Privacy Impact Assessment for the Oakland Privacy Advisory Commission. The commission<br>worked with Oakland\u2019s transportation department to codify Zachary\u2019s team\u2019s recommendations into the parking<br>payment system\u2019s use policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zachary was also heavily involved in Cleveland State University College of Law\u2019s Journal of Law and Health. As<br>senior editor he wrote and published notes on privacy, biometric encryption, and the Fifth Amendment right against<br>self-incrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He earned his J.D. from Cleveland State University College of Law, with a certificate in Data Privacy and<br>Cybersecurity.
