As a partner at UB Greensfelder LLP, Fran litigates complex business disputes and class actions, including matters involving cybersecurity, corporate governance, securities, consumer, and contract law. Her practice also includes counseling businesses on compliance and training for data privacy, cybersecurity, ethics, anti-bribery, and governance best practices. She regularly guides clients through data breach and incident response situations and related regulatory investigations. Fran is an accomplished appellate lawyer, and has successfully argued several groundbreaking issues. She also serves as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association Commercial and Consumer Panels and has represented numerous clients in arbitration proceedings.
Fran was tapped by the Department of Homeland Security to speak on “Cybersecurity in the C-Suite and Boardroom” in its C-Cubed webinar series. She has lectured widely and authored numerous articles on cybersecurity and data privacy, including the Ohio chapter of Bloomberg Law’s “Privacy & Data Security Update” and “Cybersecurity 101 for Manufacturers: Why Should You Care?” published in Manufacturing Business Technology.

Fran graduated Order of the Coif from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, and she received undergraduate and graduate degrees in vocal performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
