
CUI Program Operations Manager, ABB, Inc.
Robert W. Eckman, MBA, PMP, CISSP is a senior cybersecurity and risk executive with extensive experience leading enterprise security, data protection, and compliance programs across manufacturing, higher education, consulting, insurance, and critical infrastructure sectors. He currently serves as CUI Program Operations Manager at ABB, Inc., an electrification, automation, motion, and robotics company with over 100,000 employees worldwide, where he oversees all aspects of the CMMC security program, including assessments, remediation, certification readiness, and program management.
Previously, Robert has held executive security leadership roles, including Enterprise CMMC Program Manager at Parker Hannifin and Chief Information Security Officer at Kent State University and MCPc Inc. Across these roles, he has built and led cybersecurity, governance, risk, and resilience programs; managed large-scale security initiatives; and advised organizations on regulatory frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, PCI DSS, and SOC.
Robert holds an MBA and maintains active CMMC Certified Professional/Assessor (CCP/A), CISSP, and PMP certifications. He is an industry contributor and leader through roles with organizations such as the Nuclear Information Technology Strategic Leadership Group, the National Defense ISAC, and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). He is a founding member of the CSU Center for Cyber and Privacy and continues to serve as an adjunct professor at the CSU Marshall Law School. He is active on multiple privacy boards and regularly participates in professional speaking engagements.
